Marcia Joanne Brinson

March 9, 1944 — November 30, 2024

Marcia J. (Woods) Daniels Brinson, 80, most recently of Wrentham, MA; formerly of Norfolk, MA; Orlando, FL; South Attleboro, MA and Plainville, MA, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the All American Assisted Living in Wrentham, MA. She was the wife of James E. Brinson, to whom she was married on July 15, 1989.

Born in Natick, MA on March 9, 1944, she was the only daughter of the late Robert E. Woods, Sr. and the late Gwendolyn (Coyne) Channell Woods. Raised and educated in her native community of Natick, MA, Marcia was a 1962 graduate of Natick High School and later earned an associate degree from Massachusetts Bay Community College.

Marcia worked for many years as an executive secretary, first at the former Duval Corporation/TechPak in Norwood, Tupperware Corporation in Orlando, FL, and later for the Plainville Selectman's Office. Marcia was known for her organizational skills and her dedication to her work.

Marcia was an active member of the First Congregational Church (known as "Oldtown") in North Attleboro for many years, serving as a deacon. She also served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at the Norfolk Federated Church. While the couple resided in Orlando, Florida, she worshipped at the First Methodist Church.

Marcia was an extremely thoughtful and loving person, always remembering everyone's birthdays and taking the time to show how much she cared. She had a sweet tooth, loved to laugh, and had a wonderfully sharp sense of humor that endeared her to those around her. She was super organized and always put others first, especially her family. Marcia loved her family with unwavering devotion, and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

Her favorite pastimes included traveling with her husband and creating lifelong memories with her adored children & grandchildren. She will be missed immensely by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband of 35 years, she leaves her children: Nancy D. Mankavech and her husband, Steven M. Mankavech, of North Attleboro, MA; Kristen A. Sopko and her husband, Michael Sopko, of Waltham, MA; Tracey D. Brinson and her husband, Scott Blinston, of Castle Rock, CO; Damon J. Brinson and his wife, Ana Lois-Borzi, of St. Paul, MN; and Leslie C. Brinson of Shoreline, WA; 9 wonderful grandchildren; and extended family members and dear friends.

She was the sister of the late Gordon S. Channell, the late Kenneth D. Channell, and the late Robert E. Woods, Jr.

Visitation has been respectfully omitted.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.at the First Congregational Church, 675 Old Post Road, North Attleboro, MA.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River, MA, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved parents.
