Marcia Lee (Thayer) Beaupre, 90, of Mansfield, MA, passed away on January 28, 2024, at Briarwood Health Center in Needham, MA surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Leo A. Beaupre, Sr. to whom she was married on May 25, 1956 and who passed away on December 13, 2022.
Born in Milford, MA on September 11, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Colby Alexander Thayer and the late Maxine (McClintock) Thayer.
Raised and educated in Norwood, MA, she was a 1951 graduate of Norwood High School. She remained a Norwood resident until moving to Mansfield, MA almost 60 years ago.
For many years, she was a dedicated homemaker to her family and enjoyed volunteering at her children's schools.
Later, Mrs. Beaupre was employed in quality control at Ames Department Store in the Mansfield, MA warehouse.
She enjoyed times spent sewing, playing Uno, solving puzzles and cooking, with whoopie pies and apple pies being a favorite and specialty, a tradition started with her daughters then on to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She baked for her children's birthdays and holidays and would bring them to school so all the students could enjoy the treats. She would bake for days leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday. Rarely seen without a book in her hands, she was a ferocious reader. Her family recalls her love of enjoying fried clams with her husband, children and grandchildren.
She loved an adventure as simple as a trip to Ocean State Job Lot or as big as going on a cruise.
Left to mourn her loss are her children: Leo A. Beaupre, Jr. and his wife, Daryl (Norris) Beaupre, of North Attleboro, MA; Leona Russell and her husband, Jimmy Russell, of Attleboro, MA; Donna Farrington of Taunton, MA; Robert Beaupre and the late Denise (Maloney), of Attleboro, MA; Sandra Regan and her husband, Scott Regan, of South Attleboro, MA; Thomas Beaupre and his wife, Melissa (Lockwood) Beaupre, of South Attleboro, MA; Alan Beaupre and his wife, Sherry, of Norton, MA and Brian Beaupre and his wife, Anna (Moreira) Beaupre, of Hopedale, MA; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister of Jack During in Virginia; Billy During of Norwood, MA, Leona Golder in Virginia and Jimmy A Thayer, Jr. in Colorado.
She was the grandmother of the late Jonathon Farrington.
