M. Ann (Shaw) Flanagan Botsford, 81, of Attleboro Falls, MA., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald S. Botsford, who passed away on September 27, 2001, and the late Robert H. Flanagan, who passed away in 1980. Born on April 16, 1937 in Attleboro Falls, she was the daughter of the late Robert B. Shaw Sr., and the late Catherine (Nimmo) Shaw.A graduate of North Attleboro High School, she continued her formal studies in x-ray technology at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where she then worked for many years as a Radiology Technician, as she also did at the Mansfield Health Center, before retiring.A lifelong resident of North Attleboro, she had resided for a short time in Osterville, MA.A woman of great faith, Ann was a longtime active member of Central Congregational Church in Attleboro Falls, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, a Deacon and Trustee, Church Secretary, was a member of the Women's Union and the Church Music Committee, and often volunteered for Church suppers and auctions. She was a former member of the Board of Trustees, a Deacon, and a member of the Choir of the First Congregational "Oldtown" Church in North Attleboro. Ann loved music, having played the accordion, organ, and was in a harmonica band when she was younger. She enjoyed being outside and on the water, camping on Cape Cod, traveling, knitting, crocheting, and attending rummage sales. Ann loved spending time with her family, and had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her pet, "Maggie", and her other pets over the years. She was the loving mother of Kevin R. Flanagan and his wife, Eileen M. Flanagan, of Attleboro, MA; Kristin C. Lacasse and her husband, Thomas R. Lacasse, of North Attleboro, MA; and Kerri J. Smith and her husband, Charles D. Smith, of North Attleboro, MA. She leaves her late husband Donald's children: Tammy Botsford, Todd Botsford, Tim Botsford, and Ted Botsford, all of New York, and Tracy Botsford of East Greenwich, RI. Ann was the adoring grandmother of Paige C. Lacasse, Brooke A. Lacasse, Darren T. Lacasse, Courtney S. Flanagan, Ian R. Flanagan, and triplets Anthony Smith, Brendan Smith, and Gregory Smith. She was the dear sister of Sandra J. Martin and her husband, Michael Martin, of North Attleboro, MA; the late Robert B. Shaw Jr. and the late James T. Shaw; and leaves several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Central Congregational Church, 115 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Private Graveside Services will be held in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro, where Ann will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, Robert.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's memory to either the Memorial Gifts Fund of Central Congregational Church, 115 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02763, or to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
