Lucille C. (Touzin) Silva, 91, of Laconia, NH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Genesis Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin, NH. She was the beloved wife of the late Arnold T. Silva, to whom she was married on April 27, 1947 and who passed away on July 12, 2002.
Born on August 11, 1927 in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Climent Touzin and the late Odina (Boulais) Touzin.
Lucille worked for many years as an Assembler of the former Texas Instruments until retiring in 1970.A woman of faith, she was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church, now Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, in Seekonk, MA.
Lucille was an avid reader who enjoyed crocheting and spending winters in Punta Gorda, FL. She loved spending time with her family and her cherished grandchildren, and always delighted in watching children play sports. Lucille was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox.
She was the loving mother of the late Suzanne Pompei and her husband, Robert; the late Ronald Silva and his wife, Vicki; and John T. Silva and his wife, Gail, of Laconia, NH. She was the proud grandmother of Robbie and his wife, Debbie; Matthew and his wife, Heidi; Chad and his wife, Christie; Erik and his wife, Rachel; Justin and his wife, Jacklin; Molly; Ashley; and Samantha. Lucille was the adoring great-grandmother of Sydney, Kaleigh, Brayden, Abby, Nicholas, Shelby, Lindsey, Camron, Tori, Riley, and Wesley. She was predeceased by her five sisters and five brothers, and leaves her extended family.
A Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Street, Seekonk, MA 02771 will be held at a later date and time to be announced, as will graveside services in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA, at which time Lucille will be laid to rest alongside her dear late husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Lucille to Dana-Farber Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
