Lucille "Lucy" Beatrice (Thibault) Putnam, 71, of George Street, Attleboro, MA, quietly and peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Born on April 29, 1944 in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of Edgar H. Thibault and Beatrice (Leduc) Thibault. Lucy was educated in the Fall River schools, and worked for many years as a Cashier and Manager at McMenamy's Seafood of Raynham, in Raynham, MA before retiring in 1985. She lived in Taunton, MA, and then moved to Attleboro in 1992. For many years she attended St. Stephen's Church in Attleboro, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting, using her computer, shopping, and collecting cat figurines and memorabilia. Lucy took found genuine pleasure in her family and with friends, and in the simple delights of ice cream and brownies. She was a loving mother to her daughter, Linda M. Woodward of Johnston, RI, and to her son, David M. Borges and his wife, Mary E. (Partington) Borges of Fall River, MA. Lucy leaves four cherished grandchildren: Amanda Bowman, Patrick Woodward, Emily Borges and Andrew Borges; and was the sister of Pauline Boyer of Cranston, RI; Roger Thibault of VA; Paul Thibault of FL; and Richard Thibault of VA. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, her extended family, and many friends. She was the sister of the late Lorraine Raulino, Claire Steele, and Edgar Thibault, and was the dear companion for eight years of the late James P. Moreshead, who died on September 15, 2003. A private Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Lucy's life will be scheduled by her family at a later date.
