Louise M. (Marvel) MacKinnon, 87, of North Washington Street, North Attleboro, formerly of Wychunas Avenue, Wareham, died on May 27, 2015 at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Malcolm Edward MacKinnon who died on January 24, 2013 and was the former wife of the late Frank T. Reichenberg. Born in Taunton, Massachusetts on October 4, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Reginald S. and Ruth (Heath) Marvel. Raised and educated in Taunton, Mrs. MacKinnon was a 1945 graduate of Taunton High School and a 1961 graduate of the Practical Nursing Program at Taunton Vocational High School. She was employed as a Registered Practical Nurse at Morton Hospital and Medical Center in Taunton for over 25 years prior to her retirement. Mrs. MacKinnon resided in Taunton before moving to Wareham more than 40 years ago. Her favorite pastimes including bird watching, with a special affinity for cardinals; spending time on the beaches of Cape Cod particularly Indian Heights Beach; going out to eat with family and friends; cultivating her flower garden; partaking on cruise vacations; adoring her grandchildren and, in later years, her great grandchildren and the traditional Sunday cookouts at her home overlooking Buttermilk Bay. She leaves two daughters: Deborah M. Mellor and her husband, David R. Mellor, of Mansfield and Carol A. Anderson of Seattle, Washington; three grandchildren: Jeffrey M. Mellor and his companion, Alyssa Cote, and her children: Tori, Cameron and Tyler; Zera Marvel and her husband, Graig Markel and Jamy L. Rota and her husband, Brian C. Rota and their Son Patrick F. Rota and several extended family members and friends. She was the Mother of the late Diane Reichenberg and was predeceased by two sisters and a brother. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" with the Rev. Kelly K. Thibeault, Pastor of the First Congregational Church, Old Post Road, North Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro.
