Lorraine Thelma (Cloutier) Stott, 73, of Pleasant Street, Attleboro; formerly of North Attleboro and Wrentham, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Golden Living Center Garden Place, Attleboro following a long illness and having resided at the facility for the past 2 years. She was the former wife of the late Howard Irving Stott, Sr. to whom she was married on December 2, 1961 and who died in 2002. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire on May 23, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Emile and Thelma (Page) Cloutier. She was raised and educated in Manchester and later lived in Wrentham and North Attleboro for many years. She was a communicant of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Wrentham and while residing in North Attleboro was a communicant of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Stott was employed as a behavioral counselor for the former Pondville Hospital and worked at the former The Bottom Line drop-in center in Attleboro. In earlier years she was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Wrentham and as an ardent singer she was a member of the Sweet Adelines singing group in Wrentham. In addition to her love for singing, she enjoyed roller skating, watching The Price Is Right on television and solving word search puzzles. She leaves six children: Carol L. Brown of North Attleboro; Howard I. Stott, Jr. of Norton; Annemarie Stott of Attleboro; Kenneth E. Stott of North Attleboro; Lisa J. Stott of Attleboro and Liane T. Smith of Attleboro; 21 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; her siblings: Wilfred Cloutier of Houston, Texas; Richard Cloutier of Manchester, NH; Jeannette Corson of Wolfeboro, NH; Theresa Cloutier of Van Nuys, California and Gloria Cloutier of Seattle, Washington and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. A private memorial service will be held in Celebration of Her Life. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Stotts name may be made to the Resident Activity Fund at the Golden Living Center Garden Place, 195 Pleasant Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
