Lorraine A. (Lenney) Whitford, 90, of Attleboro, MA, formerly of North Attleboro and Taunton, MA, passed away on July 7, 2022, at the Garden Place Nursing Home in Attleboro where she had been a resident for several years.  Her husband, Raymond E. Whitford, a proud U.S. Veteran, to whom she was married on January 24, 1953, and entered eternal rest on January 29, 2018.
Lorraine was born on November 8, 1931, in Taunton, MA, she was a daughter of the late Hosea Lenney and the late Mary (McDonald) Lenney.
She was employed for many years as an assembler for Swank, Inc. in Attleboro, prior to her retirement.
Raymond was born on June 16, 1930, in Cranston, RI, he was the son of the late Charles E. Whitford, Sr., and the late Monica (Doucette) Whitford.Raymond proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Navy and worked for many years as a Foreman for the Reed & Barton Company in Taunton before retiring. He was a resident of North Attleboro from 1998 until 2018, having previously resided in Taunton, MA.Mr. and Mrs. Whitford leave four children among their surviving relatives.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
A graveside service, to which all are invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro, MA.  At that time, the lives of both Lorraine and Raymond will be celebrated.  Military honors in recognition of Raymond's loyal and faithful service to his country will be conducted.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Lorraine and Raymond to a charity of one's choice.
