Lorraine C. (Vaslet) Keniston, 67, of Vernon Place, Seekonk, died unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. She was the wife of the late William Keniston to whom she was married on October 17, 1986 and who died in 1998. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on March 27, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Loretta (Cardinal) Vaslet. Raised and educated in Attleboro, Mrs. Keniston was a 1965 graduate of Attleboro High School and earned her bachelor's degree in education from the former Bridgewater State College. She was a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro until moving to Seekonk in 1986. Mrs. Keniston was employed as an elementary school educator for the City of Attleboro School Department for 35 years prior to her retirement in 2010. She taught at the former Washington Elementary School, the Hill Roberts Elementary School and the Hyman Fine Elementary School. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, formerly St. Mary's Church, in Seekonk for many years where she was a member of the church choir, church prayer group and served as a bell ringer. She treasured the times spent at the beach. She leaves a brother: Edward "Ted" Vaslet and his wife, Jane Vaslet, of Lockport, New York; a sister: Jean Barker and her husband, Gerald Barker, of Ft Myers, Florida; four nieces and nephews and extended family members and dear friends. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to celebrate her life and faith at a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Martyr's Roman Catholic Church, Seekonk. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Attleboro. Following services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments at the Attleboro Elks Lodge.
