Lorraine M. (Field) Fennessy, 82, of Attleboro, MA., passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late James “Jim” V. Fennessy and loving mother of the late Richard T. Dupont.

Born in Taunton, MA., on January 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Alverdo and Alfield (Norton) Field.

Lorraine was an active and devoted member of Waters Church in North Attleboro, where her faith was an important and meaningful part of her life. She cherished the time she spent worshipping, growing in her faith, and sharing fellowship with the many friends she made throughout the years. The friendships and connections she formed through her church community brought her great joy and comfort.

Above all else, Lorraine treasured her family. She was a loving and devoted mother to her sons and took great pride in being a grandmother. The time she spent with her children and grandchildren was especially precious to her, and she will be lovingly remembered for the warmth, love, and happiness she brought to their lives.

She is survived by her loving sons, David N. Dupont of Florida and Jeffrey Dupont and his wife Jessie of Seekonk, MA.; and cherished grandchildren, Logan, Emma, and Allie Dupont. She is also survived by her devoted siblings, Elizabeth “Betty” Reed and her husband Charles of Attleboro, MA., Leon Field of CT., and his late wife Joyce, Yvonne Scott of CT., and her late husband Allen and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Lorraine will be buried alongside her husband Jim at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, MA. 02532.
