Lola E. Witherell

Lola E. (Reynolds) Witherell, 91, of Houlton, Maine; formerly of Patterson Street, Attleboro; passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Gardner Rehabilitation Facility in Houlton, Maine following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Norman A. Witherell to whom she was married on July 23, 1943 and entered into eternal rest on July 30, 2003. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on May 27, 1920, she was a daughter of the late William P. and Georgia (Craft) Reynolds. She was a lifelong resident of her native community until moving to Maine in 2007. She was a 1938 graduate of Attleboro High School and attended the Vesper George School of Art in Boston where she studied fashion design and clothing creation. A life long homemaker, she was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Attleboro where she belonged to the Philathea Circle Mission Group. She leaves two children: David N. Witherell of Topsfield, Maine and Diane D. Witherell of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law: Vernon Witherell of Raynham and Kenneth Witherell of Attleboro and many nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 4:30 7:30 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Funeral Service on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, with the Rev. Sean Smith, Pastor of the Community Covenant Church, Rehoboth, officiating. Burial will be in the Spring in Shepardville Cemetery, Plainville.
