Lisa Ann (Desrosiers) Arno, 59, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. She was the beloved wife of James A. "Archie" Arno, Jr., to whom she was wed on December 18, 1976 in Plainville United Methodist Church in Plainville, MA.Born on October 15, 1957 in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of Arthur N. "Norman" Desrosiers and Mary Agnes (Babuchna) Desrosiers.Lisa graduated from North Attleboro High School, Class of 1975, and from Dean College and Bridgewater State University. She resided in North Attleboro for most of her life, and worked for eleven years as a Behavioral Psychologist for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Wrentham State School. Lisa was previously the General Manager of the North Attleboro Free Press newspaper, and had enjoyed working as a home daycare provider. She attended Plainville United Methodist Church.A warm, sweet, engaging and vivacious woman, Lisa truly loved life. More than anything else, she adored her husband and her cherished family. She was always involved in her sons' activities, sports, and their lives. She loved being with friends and family, camping, whale-watching, deep-sea fishing, and decorating and caring for her home. Lisa loved being outdoors, often walking miles each day with her dogs. She had a special place in her heart for all of her family's pets over the years, cats and dogs, including "Reba", "Waldo", Spike", and her feline companion, "Miss Kitty". She had great pride as an accomplished karate instructor, and earned the rank of 4th degree black belt. Lisa's ever-present and infectious smile will be terribly missed by all who knew her.In addition to her husband, she leaves her beloved children: James C. Arno and his companion, Marie Lebarbier, of Brest, France, and Peter M. Arno and his partner, Elizabeth A. Brady, of Fall River, MA. She was the adoring grandmother of Elsie and Emmitt Arno. She was the dear sister of Lee Desrosiers of Columbus, OH, and leaves many cousins, her extended family, and many dear friends.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service immediately following visitation on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Burial will be private.A children's room is available during the visitation and funeral service.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lisa's memory to the Plainville United Methodist Church, 16 E.
