Lionel A. Charpentier

Lionel A. Charpentier, 98, of Woonsocket, RI passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Monday, June 10, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne (Boulanger) Charpentier to whom he was married on June 2, 1951 and entered into eternal rest on October 27, 2003.
Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on February 16, 1926, he was the son of the late Joseph Charpentier and the late Leona Gingras.
Mr. Charpentier was raised and educated in Woonsocket, RI where he remained a lifelong resident.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having enlisted on February 15, 1944 until his honorable discharge on May 18, 1946.
Mr. Charpentier was employed in the textile industry having worked for New England Pile and retired as a loom fixer following 20 years of service.
Among his surviving family members are his four children: Gerard Charpentier and his wife, Ann Charpentier, of Bellingham, MA; Dianne Charpentier of Pawtucket, RI; Denise Charpentier of Woonsocket, RI and Donald Charpentier with whom he resided in Woonsocket, RI.
He was the paternal grandfather of the late Mathew Charpentier.
At his request all services will be private with burial in St. Theresa's Cemetery, Nasonville, Rhode Island.
