Linda L. Young

Linda L. (Willey) Young, 77 of Plainville, MA., passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Brian R. Young. They were happily married for 24 years.

Born Cherryfield, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Harriet (Small) Willey.

Linda was a devoted member of the Plainville Baptist Church. During her leisure time, she took pleasure in reading, knitting, crocheting, and cherishing moments with her family and friends.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Matthew Karaniuk and his wife Bethany of Pawtucket, RI, Heather Young of Beverly, MA., and Heidi Young and her husband Rob Lauterbach of Venice, Florida. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Robert A. “Tobe” Lauterbach and Jamie O. Lauterbach and several dear nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leonard Willey, Lurline Reynelds, Eugene Willey, Douglas Willey and Betty Look.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Plainville Baptist Church, 62 South Street, Plainville, MA 02762.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda's memory may be made to Plainville Baptist Church.
