Linda Mary Weston

Linda Mary (Stevens) Weston, 80, of North Attleboro, MA passed away at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI on Monday, November 25, 2024. She was the beloved wife and soulmate of the late G. Donald Weston, Sr. and they were married for 35 years at the time of his death in 2010.

Born on February 5, 1944, in Worcester, MA she was a daughter of the late Richard K. and Ruth E. (Melanson) Stevens, proprietors of Stevens’ Market in North Attleboro.
In 1946, at the age of 2, Linda moved to North Attleboro with her parents, and she remained a resident of the community for the next 78 years.
She was a graduate of North Attleboro High School – Class of 1961.

She and her late husband were the owners of Awelco, Inc., a metal fabrication company in the North Attleboro Industrial Park.
Linda was also the co-owner, with her late husband, of Mount Hope Farm Arabian Horses on Mount Hope Street in North Attleboro.

She was a proud member of the Board of Trustees of Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum in North Attleboro having served on the finance committee and as treasurer.
Mrs. Weston was a proud member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution - Attleboro Chapter, where she had previous service on the board, as curator and treasurer.

A member of the National Rifle Association, she held a Class A license to carry in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

She showed Arabian horses from the age of nine, winning hundreds of championships all over the United States. Linda was a past licensed American Horse Shows Association equine judge, holding her judges’ card in the breeds of Arabian, Morgan, American Saddlebred and Saddle Seat Equitation.

Always active in her community, she was a past member of the North Attleboro School Committee, North Attleboro Representative Town Meeting, North Attleboro Town Republican Committee, the Junior Women’s League of Attleboro, the Massachusetts Arabian Horse Association, the New England Arabian Horse Association, the International Arabian Horse Association and the American Horse Show’s Association.

She was the loving mother of her cherished daughter: Jenae B. (Chadwick) Balboni of Attleboro, MA; loving grandmother of her cherished granddaughter: Emma Ruth Balboni of Harpswell, Maine; loving grandmother of Joseph Desrosiers, son of her late son, Jason A. Chadwick, who died in 2007.

In addition, she leaves her much loved stepchildren: Linda S. Kinney of Warwick, RI; G. Donald Weston, Jr. of Bradon, Florida and John L.E. Weston of Laguna Niguel, CA and her beloved step grandchildren: James T. Kinney and his wife, Judi, of Warwick, RI; Lorin B. Kinney and his wife, Jessica, of Los Angeles, CA; Stiles M. Weston and his wife, Katrina, of Palm Coast, Florida; Brett S. Weston of North Attleboro, MA and Alicia Matarese Webb and her husband, Bryan, of West Hollywood, CA.

Also, her five beloved step great grandchildren: Brexton J. Kinney and his wife, Ciana; Sloan P. Kinney of Warwick, RI; Logan Kinney of Plainville, MA; Matthew S. Weston of Plam Coast, Florida and Shannon E. Weston of Palm Coast, Florida.

She also leaves her two special, much-loved step great great grandchildren: Jayce and Kinslee Kinney of Cranston, RI and her one special and much-loved godson: Eric Carlson and his husband Ray Karnasiewicz jr. of South Attleboro, MA.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the “Memorial Chapel” of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home,161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.

All are welcome to attend an uplifting celebration of her life on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 10:00 am in the “Memorial Chapel” of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home,161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.

Burial will follow in her much beloved Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro, MA where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband and son.
