Linda Marie (Travis) Thomas-Holland, 65, of North Attleboro, MA passed away at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA following a courageous health battle that lasted for almost two decades.
Born in Westerly, RI on December 10, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Travis and the late Marie (Nardone) Travis. She was a 1975 graduate of North Attleboro High School and remained a resident of the community for many years. She later returned to school and became a licensed practical nurse and was employed at the LifeCare Center of Attleboro until her illness.
She was devoted to her two sons, Latif and Larry, and they were the focal point of her life. Twenty-one months ago, she was gifted with the presence of her granddaughter, Maya Linda.
A lifelong animal lover, she loved cats and birds. She lived the past twenty years with zest and tenacity. She often enjoyed do-it-yourself projects around her home and listening to music, with a longtime love for the band, "The Monkees".
She leaves to mourn her loss, her sons: Latif C. Thomas and his wife, Nicole (Shaffer) Thomas, of Providence, Rhode Island and Larry B. Thomas of North Attleboro, MA; her granddaughter: Maya Linda Thomas of Providence, Rhode Island; her sister: Susan Uvanni of Lowell, MA and her nieces and nephew: Pamela Keener, Julie Keener and Andrew Keener.
A Private Celebration of Her Life Memorial Gathering will be held in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Inurnment will be private.
