Linda G. (Liddell) Macomber, formerly of Rehoboth, MA passed away on August 29, 2024, at Serenity Hill in Wrentham, MA.She was the wife of the late William Macomber.
Born in Attleboro, MA on October 12, 1948, she was a daughter of the late James Reid Lidell and the late Grace (Jackson) Liddell. She was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro and was a 1966 graduate of Attleboro High School.
Mrs. Macomber was previously employed by Jostens in Attleboro; as a health care aide at Home Instead and when living on Cape Cod, worked in the gift shop at the Cape Codder Hotel.
In earlier years, she was a member of Good Shepard Episcopal Church in Pawtucket, RI where she served as Sunday school teacher for many years.
She treasured the times spent camping on Cape Cod and the ocean beaches, dancing, baking and entertaining family and friends as guests made her known as "the hostess with the mostess". She was also an avid collector of Dreamsicles.
She leaves her children: Scott Rushlow and his wife, Ellen Rushlow, of Dudley, MA and Derek Rushlow -and his partner, Katie Prime Cassidy of Brimfield, MA; her siblings: James Liddell of Attleboro, MA; Pam Fontneau and her husband, Denis Fontneau of Pawtucket of RI; Robert D. Liddell and his wife, Cheryl Liddell of- Rehoboth, MA; Beth A. Choquette and her husband, Keith Choquette of Bristol, RI and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA. A Memorial Service will immediately commence at the conclusion of visitation.
Burial will be private at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
