Linda Kay (Jarrett) Coughlin, 77, of North Attleboro, MA, a native of Lewes, DE, went into the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Saviour, on Sunday, January 13, 2019. She was the beloved wife and best friend of John "Jack" Stephen Coughlin.
Born on August 13, 1941 in Lewes, DE, she was the daughter of the late William Howard Jarrett and the late Louise (Levi) Jarrett.
A graduate of Miami Edison (FL) High School, Class of 1959, Linda worked in the office of TIPP Printing from 1992 until 2002, and at the North Attleborough Tax Collector's office, until retiring.
A resident of North Attleboro since July 1988, she previously lived in Mount Clemens, MI.
Linda was truly a faith filled woman. She was a member of Waters Church in North Attleboro after attending the South Attleboro Assembly of God for 27 years. Prior to moving to North Attleboro, she enjoyed teaching Sunday School, and had passionately held weekly teen Bible studies in Michigan.
Linda did a marvelous job raising her children as a single mother, and, later, she and Jack were truly devoted to their combined family of children and grandchildren. She loved building family traditions as their family grew over the years. She was an avid reader; and although she read many, many books, there was always time for her piano. When she played, her home was filled with hymns and worship music to the Lord. It was always a glorious time listening and honoring God. She enjoyed sewing and working on arts and crafts in her spare time. When she could, she enjoyed traveling to the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains of NC where her family is from. She had a love of all animals, holding a special place in her heart for her two late dogs: "Buffy" and "Apollo". More than anything, though, Linda had a deep and unqualified love for her cherished family. Although she was a twelve-year survivor of cancer, she was unable to overcome her struggle with pneumonia.
In addition to her husband, Jack, she leaves her loving children: Cherie Louise Coughlin and her husband, Bruce M. Coughlin, of Boston, MA; William R. Allison Jr. of Phenix City, AL; Annamarie O'Donnell and her husband, Robert "Bob" O'Donnell, of Marlboro, MA; and John "Jack" Stephen Coughlin Jr., and his wife, Jodie M. (Buchanan) Coughlin, of North Attleboro, MA. She was the adoring grandmother of eleven grandchildren: Matthew Coughlin; Abigail Coughlin; Patrick Coughlin; Ashleigh Allison; William Allison III; Sarah Coughlin Laudone and her husband, Brian; Sean Coughlin; Erin (Coughlin) Pesavento and her husband, Eric; Brian O'Donnell; Brendan O'Donnell; and Chris O'Donnell. Linda was the dear sister of Christopher "Chris" Howard Jarrett of Asheville, NC. She leaves five nieces and nephews and five grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
