Linda Cary (Edwards) Casassa, 80, of South Attleboro, MA passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. She was the loving wife of John "Jack" Joseph Casassa with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Born in Brockton, MA on May 15, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Allen Edwards and the late Ardele (Gallagher) Edwards. She was raised and educated in her native community of Brockton, MA. Mrs. Casassa resided in South Attleboro, MA for the past 32 years.
Mrs. Casassa was employed as a front-end manager for the former Kmart in both North Attleboro and Attleboro prior to her retirement. However, her greatest role was that of a caregiver to her two beloved grandchildren for the past 25 years.
Her favorite pastimes included those spent playing Bingo, reading on her kindle, watching gameshows on television and trips with her husband to the seashore, especially Newport, RI, to watch the waves.
In addition to her beloved husband, she leaves her daughter: Theresa Ann Richard and her husband, Timothy Richard, of Attleboro, MA; two cherished grandchildren: Cameron Richard and Melissa Richard both of Attleboro, MA; two siblings: Claire Vass of East Bridgewater, MA and Jane Rogers of McColl, South Carolina.
She was the mother of the late William A. Casassa who died on March 20, 1993.
One of seven siblings, she was predeceased by: Virginia Folk, Robert Edwards, Allen Edwards and Constance Mann.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in the future.
Burial in St. Michael's Cemetery, Avon, MA will be private.
