Lillias Allan (Williamson) Rothemich, 87, of Attleboro, MA, peacefully passed away at her home on Thursday, May 4, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Phillip Rothemich to whom she was married on December 21, 1951 at Gairbraid Church in Glasgow, Scotland, and who died on May 23, 2009.Born on February 16, 1930 in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Robert Williamson and the late Margaret (Campbell) Williamson. Lillias was raised and educated in Glasgow, Scotland, and was a graduate of North Kelvinside Academy there. A resident of Attleboro since 1970, she previously resided in Audubon, PA, and Warwick, RI. She worked for many years as a Secretary for various area businesses before retiring in 1991.She was a bright and engaging woman with many interests in life. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family. Lillias was an avid reader, fascinated with history, and enjoyed crafts, ceramics, stained glass, arts, music, and dancing. She was widely traveled and enjoyed occasional visits to the casino. Lillias always held a special place in her heart for her homeland of Scotland, and for years enjoyed following the Highland Games. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star - Hope Chapter No. 41 in Attleboro, MA.She is survived by her three beloved children: Margaret Jean (Rothemich) Sprague and her husband, Douglas A. Sprague, of Attleboro, MA; Alison Lynn (Rothemich) Medeiros and her husband, Dennis M. Medeiros, of Attleboro, MA; and Phillip Robert Rothemich and his wife, Gina M. (Gilardi) Rothemich, of Norton, MA. She was like a mother to Ellen McCarthy Dunn of South Attleboro, MA, and was the treasured grandmother of Alexander Michael Medeiros and Lillias Alison Medeiros, both of Attleboro, MA; and Lillias Marie Rothemich of Norton, MA. She leaves four generations of nieces and nephews, her extended family, and many dear friends.Lillias was the sister of the late James Williamson and the late William Williamson.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service for Lillias immediately following visitation on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Burial will be private A children's room is available during the visitation and Celebration of Life service.Those in need of a local ride to the visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Lillias to the Salvation Army, 25 Shawmut Road Canton, MA 02021 or online at
