Lillian Dorabelle (Reynolds) Pike, 94, of Jefferson Street, North Attleboro, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. She was the longtime companion of the late James Edward Pierce until his death on June 28, 1987. Born in Rehoboth, Massachusetts on February 8, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Everett and Minnie Emma (Anderson) Reynolds. She was raised and educated in Rehoboth where she was a graduate of the former Rehoboth High School. She resided in North Attleboro for the past 60 years having moved to the community from East Providence, Rhode Island. Mrs. Pike was employed at Coutu Cleaners in Pawtucket, Rhode Island for many years prior to her retirement 35 years ago. She was a volunteer at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro for 20 years. Mrs. Pike leaves her son: Norman George Pike and his wife, Marguerite S. (Collette) Pike, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; a daughter-in-law: Audrey M. (Jackson) Pike of Wareham; a sister: Betty Rose (Reynolds) Pike of North Attleboro; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; extended family members and friends. She was the mother of the late Ronald David Pike and the late Gordon Pike and was predeceased by her precious feline companion, "Kitty". Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 8:00 - 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Service immediately following visitation on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelly K. Thibeault, Pastor of the First Congregational "Oldtown" Church, Old Post Road, North Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro. Children's room is available during the visitation and the funeral service. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
