Lillian May Metters, age 97, formerly of Attleboro, Mansfield and Mashpee, MA passed away peacefully at the Pond Home in Wrentham MA on October 25, 2022.
She was born in Attleboro, MA on August 20, 1925, to J. Harvey and Rachael Drake.
A graduate of Attleboro High School, she went onto become a registered nurse and alumni of Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA.
Lillian married J. William Metters, Jr in 1948. They were happily married for 71 years. Lillian is survived by her three sons and their wives. William and Cheryl of Tarpon Springs FL, Stephan and Lynne of Smithfield, RI, and Andrew and Maureen of No Attleboro, MA. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Jennifer Byrne and Jessica Murray, great grandchildren Ashley Hale, Kellie Byrne, Emma Byrne, and a great, great granddaughter Kiana Joy.
Visiting hours are omitted.
Internment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA will be private.
