Lilian W. Mwangi, 45, of Grafton, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA. Born on November 3, 1972 in Kenya, she was the daughter of the late Joel Mwangi and the late Milka (Muthoni) Mwangi.Raised and educated in Kenya, she worked for many years in insurance company sales, having only recently come to the United States in May 2018.Lilian was like a ray of light. She was fun to be with, had a true love of life and for people, would always help others, enjoyed singing, and was the "life of the party" wherever she went. A woman of faith and devotion, Lilian was actively involved in her church, in worship, and in Christian activities. She was the loving and beloved sister of David Mwangi, Sammy Mwangi, Simon Mwangi, Peter Mwangi, Lucy Karanja, Grace Mwangi, and Irene Ndegwa, all of Kenya; and Joyce Waithera of Auburn, MA. Lilian was predeceased by her brother, Isack Kamanja. She leaves several nieces and nephews and many dear friends in Kenya.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Liberty Church, 495 Hartford Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA.Graveside Services will be held in Cherangani, Kenya, at which time Lilian will be laid to rest at her family's property there.
