Lester Henry Gebski, 86, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Mount St. Rita Health Centre in Cumberland, RI. He was the beloved husband of Jeannette Louise (Dargis) Gebski, whom he married on April 12, 1958.
Born on November 29, 1933 in Warren, RI, he was the son of the late Frank L. Gebski and the late Anna (Galanski) Gebski.
Lester was a graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1951 and worked for forty-one years in the Shipping and Receiving Department at the former Texas Instruments in Attleboro before retiring in 1998.
He proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Navy.
A resident of North Attleboro since 1958, he was a fifty-year member of the North Attleboro Elks. Lester enjoyed cooking, good food, and gardening. He especially cherished the company of his family.
In addition to his wife, Jeannette, he leaves his loving daughter, Jayne A. Pierce, and her husband, Charles, of Cumberland, RI, and also his son. He was the proud grandfather of Heather Pierce of Worcester, MA, and Evan Pierce of Douglas, MA, and the adoring great-grandfather of Abigail Pierce of Douglas, MA. Lester was predeceased by his siblings: France Gebski, Mae Martin, Ann Derrig, Stella Pryzabela, and Peter Gebski. He leaves several nieces and nephews and his extended family.
Due to the current healthcare situation, a Private Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2020 in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A Private Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation at Dyer-Lake.
Private Graveside Services will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, North Attleboro.
