Leslie Jean Clemmey

Leslie Jean (Hartshorn) Clemmey, 78, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024, at the Madonna Manor in North Attleboro, MA where she had been a resident for the past six years. She was the wife of the late John Lewis Clemmey who died in February 1984.

Born in Norwood, MA on May 20. 1946, she was a daughter of the late Robert Hartshorn and the late Ruth (Harrison) Hartshorn. She has been a resident of North Attleboro, MA for almost 30 years.

Mrs. Clemmey worked as a nurse's aide at the former Norwood Hospital for many years prior to her retirement.

She was dedicated and devoted to her children and raised them following the death of her young husband. In later years, she was a doting grandmother and great grandmother.

Most of her family fondly recalls her baking abilities, her love of cross stitching, solving crossword puzzles, her love for movies and as an avid reader, being especially fond of Stephen King novels. She adored lilacs.

Family left to mourn her loss include her children: Keith A. Clemmey and his wife, Jaine Clemmey, of Attleboro, MA; Christopher J. Clemmey of Pawtucket, RI and Brian P. Clemmey of Charlotte, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; her sister: Marcia Hurd of Franklin, MA and three nephews.

Her beloved daughter, Janet L. Clemmey, died on October 21, 2024.

Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed immediately by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM.

Graveside services will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, MA where she will be laid to rest with her beloved parents.
