Leonard "Lenny" Alan Cuneo
July 21, 1957 — January 19, 2019
Leonard "Lenny" Alan Cuneo, 61, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Deborah J. (Reed) Cuneo, to whom he was married on August 28, 1976.
Born on July 21, 1957 in Boston, MA, he was the loving son of Jeannette (Devaney) Cuneo of Wareham, MA, and the late Theodore Cuneo.
A skilled craftsman and mechanic, he worked as a Maintenance Mechanic for New England Drawn Steel Company and for Larson Tool, and as a Welder for Quincy Shipyard. Lenny had been the proud owner and operator of Lenco Heating in Attleboro for several years.
He lived in Attleboro for most of his life, having previously resided in Mansfield, MA.
Lenny had a wonderful ability to fix most anything, and could often be found tinkering with things and working around his house, having once built an addition to his home. He cherished visiting with his mother at her home in Wareham where he had a camper. He loved the ocean and owned several boats over the years, enjoying special times onboard with family and good friends. Lenny held a special place in his heart for his late dog, "Buddy", who passed away not long ago.
In addition to his wife, Deborah, and his mother, Jeannette, he leaves his dear sisters: Denise Cuneo of Attleboro, MA, and Brenda Lombardi of RI. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, his extended family, and many dear friends.
Friends and relatives are cordially invited to honor and remember Lenny by gathering for a Visitation on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Family and friends are invited to attend Graveside Services on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Stevens Corner Cemetery, Rehoboth, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lenny's memory to a charity of one's choice.
