November 20, 1947 — June 30, 2018

Lee Chao, 70, of Sharon, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at home, with her beloved husband, Tai-Te "Ted" Chao, at her side.Born on November 20, 1947 in China, she was the daughter of the late Chung-Yuan Chao and the late Chung-Fen Tuan. Lee was raised and educated in Taiwan where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology. She came to the United States in 1969 to further her education and to attend graduate school, which she did, earning her Master's Degree in Biology in 1970 from Illinois State University, and later continuing her education in computer sciences at Boston University. She worked at Brigham and Women's Hospital and then Partners Health Care Systems in Boston for a total of forty-four years until her retirement in 2014. A resident of Sharon since 1980, Lee previously lived in Newton, MA. An active woman, she enjoyed playing tennis and exercising at Dedham Health and Athletics Complex for many years, where she made many good friends. She also loved playing golf and spending time with her husband. In addition to her husband, Ted, she leaves her dear brother, Jack Chao of Andover, MA, and was predeceased by his late wife, Ellen Chao.
