Lee Barker

Lee Barker, 73, of Berlin, MA, a retired nurse, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2016.Born April 20, 1943 in Newport, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Herman L. and Lois Smith Berthold.Mrs. Barker was a graduate of Rogers High School and Newport Hospital School of Nursing.Prior to working for Valley Primary Care in Middletown, RI she was a long-term nurse for Lahey Medical in Billerica, MA. She was a very kind and caring woman, and an active member for many years with multiple church organizations and bible study groups. She enjoyed engaging in conversation with all and spent quality time with her cats. Her hobbies included reading, playing Sudoku and donating her time to help her family and many dear friends.She leaves two sons: Douglas Barker and his wife, Judith, of Alexandria, VA; Thomas Barker and his wife, Sharon, of Merrimack, NH; and two sisters, Margery Silva and Helen Fitzgerald.There will be a Graveside Service for family members and friends on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Woodlawn Cemetery, 825 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA.In lieu of flowers, her family would like to request a donation be made to a local Humane Society.For additional information or to send the family a written expression of sympathy, please visit an online guest book at www.dyer-lakefuneralhome.com .
