Lea Louise LaPalme, 72 Lea Louise LaPalme, 72, of Attleboro, died on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on November 28, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Alice (Lee) and Leo LaPalme. She was raised and educated in Attleboro. She graduated from Attleboro High School in 1956. Mrs. LaPalme attended Pondville School of Nursing, Bristol Community College, and Stonehill College. She received a legal secretary degree from RI Business School. She received a Certified Nurse Aide Certificate from Cape Cod College. She is survived by a son: Joseph Fischbach and his wife, Elizabeth Fischbach, of Rehoboth, two daughters: June Fischbach and Judy Fischbach and her husband, Guy Leboeuf, all of Attleboro; four grandchildren Kelley, Sarah, Christine and Jason. She was the sister of Alfred LaPalme of Maine and the sister-in-law of Claire LaPalme of Attleboro. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her devoted friend Peggy Nunes of Attleboro. She was the sister of the late Pauline Racicot, Richard LaPalme, Jean Mitchell, and Mary Ann Harmon. She was employed by the Attleboro Sun, Texas Instruments, and Swank in Attleboro Mass. Upon moving to Cape Cod she was employed by the Town Treasurers Office, VNA of Dennis and Windsor Nursing Home. She was an Avon representative for 13 years and achieved many sales awards. She was a Cape Cod companion for the elderly for 14 years. She was affiliated with the MidCape Chorus for 13 years, and was involved in a variety of shows, Women of Moose, the Victrola Society and St. Pious Chorus. Singing with her Chorus friends was one of Leas great joys in life. Upon returning to Attleboro, she was a choral member of the Attleboro Senior Center and participated in many yearly shows. She participated in many trips with the Plainville Senior Center and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Lea had many friends and will be greatly missed. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Coyle Drive, Seekonk with the Rev. Thomas Rita, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private in St. Stephens Cemetery, Attleboro. Following the Mass, an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, Mass 02284-9168.
