Laurin E. Harrop Sr.

March 23, 1939 — June 18, 2021

Laurin E. Harrop, Sr., 82, of Norridgewock, Maine; a former longtime resident of the greater Attleboro, MA area prior to retiring and moving to Maine in 2003, passed away on June 18, 2021.  He was the husband of Doris (Brodowski) Harrop to whom he was married on June 27, 1987.
Born in Attleboro, MA on March 23, 1939, he was a son of the late Harold Harrop and the late Marion (Carpenter) Harrop.
He was employed as a maintenance supervisor prior to his retirement.
When living locally, Mr. Harrop was a member of the First Congregational Church "Old Town" in North Attleboro, MA.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Harrop leaves ten children: Laurin "Skip" Harrop, Jr., Steven Harrop, Thomas Harrop, Timothy Harrop, Susan Coombs, Judith Scott-Bennett, Kerri Crauder, Brian Harrop, Melinda Carpenter and Christina Harnois; 29 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; his siblings: Norman Harrop, Shirley Levesque, Evelyn Overman, Retired Plainville Fire Chief Edwin Harrop, Melvin "Joe" Harrop and three generations of countless nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Muriel Fontaine, Connie Jenks, Ronald Harrop, Howard Harrop and the late twins: Francis and Frank Harrop.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Life and Memorial Service on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church "Old Town", Old Post Road, North Attleboro, MA.  Face masks are mandatory at all times while in the church.
Burial will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
Following services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments.
