Laura "Betty" E. Thornhill, 92, of Old Colony Road, Norton, a retired antique dealer, died on November 4, 2012 at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law in Seymour, Connecticut. She was the wife of the late Elmer Raymond Thornhill to whom she was married on July 10, 1943 and who died on May 26, 1994. Born in the Hebronville neighborhood of Attleboro, Massachusetts on December 23, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Herman Eugene and Ethel (Bigelow) Kenyon. She was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where she graduated with the Class of 1938 from Attleboro High School. Mrs. Thornhill was employed by Texas Instruments during the 1940s and later at Old Colony Press in Norton during the 1970s. During the 1980s and 1990s, she was an independent antique dealer with her late husband and in later years was employed by Past and Present and Phoebe's Hidden Treasures both in North Attleboro until 2010. She also assisted at the former Shirley's Fine Chocolates in North Attleboro. She had been a Norton resident since 1950 having moved from Attleboro where she had resided from 1919 - 1950. She was a member of Second Congregational Church, Attleboro where she enjoyed spending time with her "lunch friends". In addition to antiquing, she enjoyed sewing and knitting. She leaves her devoted and dedicated daughter: Linda A. Love and her husband, Robert M. Love, of Seymour, Connecticut; her grandchildren: Kimberly Love of Philadelphia, PA; Amanda Campbell and her husband, Brian Campbell, of Waynesboro, Virginia; Jeff Love and his wife, Ronni Love, of Fairfield, Connecticut; five great grandchildren: Caity, Johnathan, Ryan, Benjamin and Jack; a nephew: Kevin Kenyon and his wife, JoAnn Kenyon, of Seekonk; members of her late husband's family in St. Louis, Missouri and many dear friends. She was the sister of the late Renard Kenyon and Ralph Kenyon. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 11:00 - 12:00 in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
