Laura Moniz, 77, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. Born on July 17, 1940 in St. Michael, Azores, where she was raised and educated, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Moniz and the late Maria De Santo Cristo Fernandes.A resident of North Attleboro for many years, Laura previously lived in Attleboro, MA, where she worked as a Machine Operator for Texas Instruments for twenty-three years before retiring in 2004, and where she attended St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church.Laura was a warm, caring woman who enjoyed sewing, and more than anything, loved being with her family, especially spending time with her great-grandson.She was the loving and beloved mother of Helena Amaral and her husband, Antonio Amaral, of Acushnet, MA; twin daughters: Maria "Grace" Amaral and her husband, Mario Amaral of Attleboro, MA, and the late Alice Pacheco, and her husband, John Pacheco of Barnstable, MA; and her son, Jose Paulo Gracioso and his wife, Crystal Gracioso, of NY. She was the adoring grandmother of Christina Amaral, Tania Pacheco, Stephanie Oliveira, Jason Amaral, Genesis Gracioso, Colton Gracioso, Mason Gracioso, and Talan Gracioso; and the proud great-grandmother of Julian Rafael Oliveira. She leaves four dear sisters, one dear brother, and many nieces and nephews.
