Laura Nina Latino, 80, of North Attleboro, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.Born on April 2, 1938 in New Orleans, LA, she was the daughter of the late Ben Anthony Latino and Rose (Carlisi) Latino.A resident of North Attleboro since 1969, she previously lived her entire life in New Orleans. She worked for more than thirty years as a Laboratory Technician for several physicians in the community including the late Mario Palmer, M.D., before retiring in 2000 to take care of her grandson.Laura loved spending time with her cherished family, especially being with her grandson whom she loved watching play tennis. She enjoyed summers at her daughter's home in New Seabury on Cape Cod, and had a lifelong love of New Orleans and the New Orleans Saints. In 1959 Laura was Queen of the Krewe of Elenians Mardis Gras  Club, an honor that she cherished throughout her life.She was the loving, beloved mother and best friend of Roseanne T. (Grinsell) Simmons and her husband, Sam L. Simmons, and the proud and adoring grandmother of Benjamin W. Simmons, the love of her life, all of North Attleboro, MA. She was the lifetime companion of the late Bernard H. Kramer.A Memorial and Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. John Vianney Church, Cumberland, RI Saturday April 21 at 2:00 pm. A private inurnment in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery, New Orleans, LA, will take place at a later date.
