L. "Jean" Jean Iltzsch

February 19, 1930 — December 22, 2022

L. Jean (Reid) Iltzsch, 92, of Attleboro, MA, peacefully passed away at her home on Thursday, December 22, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry H. Iltzsch who died on December 22, 2010.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, on February 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley Reid and the late Evelyn B. (Christensen) Reid.
Raised and educated in Omaha, she was a graduate of Benson High School, Class of 1947, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1951 from the University of Nebraska.
Jean proudly worked as an Elementary School teacher in the Seekonk, MA, public school system from 1969 until she retired in 1995.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, playing bridge, and more than anything, spending time with her family.
Jean was the loving mother of Dr. Max H. Iltzsch and his wife, Teresa Iltzsch, of Fairfield, OH, and Amy S. Fontneau and her husband, Gary Fontneau, of Seekonk, MA. She was the proud grandmother of Gwendolyn J. Ryan and her husband, Patrick Ryan, of Cumberland, RI, and Justin R. Fontneau of Seekonk, MA, and the adoring great-grandmother of Jaiden, Hadley, and Fiona. Jean was the sister of the late Suzanne Mann and leaves her niece and her nephew, her close friend, Gary Sylvester of West Hyannisport, MA, her extended family, and many dear friends.
Private burial will take place in the Pohocco Lutheran Church Cemetery, Fremont, Nebraska
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jean to the Seekonk Public Library, 410 Newman Avenue, Seekonk, MA 02711.
