Kevin Layne Treen, 64, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Wingate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norton, MA. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Marie (Grande) Treen, who died on January 26, 2018. Born on October 12, 1953 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Lewis and Georgette (Richmond) Treen.A graduate of North Attleboro High School, Class of 1971 where he was a member of the Track and Math teams, he received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Lowell Technological Institute. Kevin was employed for many years in the field of hardware and software design. He most recently worked for Bedrock Automation in Mansfield, MA, having previously owned his own business, Treen Engineering.An active, outgoing, and caring man, he enjoyed playing basketball at the YMCA on his lunch hours, playing softball every spring and summer at the Foxboro YMCA, and loved riding his Harley and driving his Corvette. He was an avid fan of all the Boston sports teams, and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas with Nancy, reading by the Cape Cod Canal, going to rock concerts and watching Star Wars movies, and playing video games. More than anything, though, Kevin loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He was the loving step-father of Richard A. Dunning, Jr., and his wife, Deborah Dunning, of North Attleboro, MA; and Cindy M. (Dunning) Miller and her husband, Richard Miller, of North Attleboro, MA. Kevin was the adoring grandfather of Jarret B. Miller and his wife, Emily Miller, of Framingham, MA; Ryan S. Miller of Putney, VT; Dawn (Dunning) O'Neill and her husband, William O'Neill, of North Attleboro, MA; and Keri Dunning and her partner, Kevin Burns, of North Attleboro, MA. He was the proud great-grandfather of Kyle Cloutier, Abbi Cloutier, Julia O'Neill, Cameron O'Neill, Kayla Burns, and Darren Burns, all of North Attleboro, and Luke Miller of Framingham, MA. He was the dear brother of Carson W. Treen and his wife, Diane Treen, of North Attleboro, MA, and the brother-in-law of Donald Grande of Buffalo, NY. Kevin was the uncle of Carianne Shaw of North Attleboro, MA, and her children: Cody and Riley; Sonia and Dan Medeiros, and their son, Devin, of Uxbridge, MA; Shelly and Thomas Reidy of Williamsville, NY; Paul and Kimberly Grande of Wheatfield, NY; Jon Grande of Clarence, NY; and Don and Allison Grande of Lancaster, NY; and leaves their families and many dear friends.
