Kevin Timothy Mckenzie Sr.

Kevin Timothy McKenzie, 63, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA. He was the beloved husband of Sharon M. (Hartwich) McKenzie, to whom he was married on November 5, 1976.Born on May 6, 1955 in Natick, MA, he was the son of the late William and Dorothy (Quinn) McKenzie.A graduate of Newton North High School, Class of 1973, he worked for twenty-five years as a Machinist for Alpha Grainger Manufacturing Company in Franklin, MA.A resident of Attleboro since 1986, Kevin previously lived in Newton, and was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish in South Attleboro.A motorcycle enthusiast, he enjoyed riding with his wife and traveling cross country on his bike. Kevin was a member of the New England Trail Rider Association and the King Philip Trail Riders in Plainville, MA. He genuinely loved spending time with his family and with his treasured grandchildren, and had a special place in his heart for his cat, "Scoots". In addition to his wife, Sharon, he leaves his loving children: Kevin Timothy McKenzie Jr., and his wife, Monica R. (Titus) McKenzie, of Attleboro, and Ryan Paul McKenzie and his companion, Melinda "Mindy" Brown, of Blackstone, MA. He was the dear brother of Maurine McMullen of Waltham, MA; Karen Nuefell of Maynard, MA; William "Billy" McKenzie of Waltham, MA; Sheila Struth of Littleton, MA; Patrick McKenzie of Natick, MA; and Kathleen Bianchi of Waltham, MA. He was predeceased by his brother, James "Jim" McKenzie, and by his maternal grandfather, Warren Quinn, who was like a father to him. Kevin was the adoring grandfather of Darian A. Fuller and Dreyden Q. McKenzie, and leaves numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Kevin by gathering for a Memorial Visitation on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
