Kevin James Emerson, 55, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Natalie M. (Tripp) Emerson, to whom he was married on July 19, 1997. Born on October 7, 1962 in Attleboro, he was the son of the late Raymond E. Emerson Sr., and the late Jeannette (LaCasse) Emerson.Kevin worked for twenty-six years as a Commercial Foreman for Lisco Irrigation of Seekonk, MA, before retirement in late 2017 due to illness.A resident of Attleboro, Kevin was raised in North Attleboro and resided for a short while in Rehoboth, MA. A kind, caring and gentle man, he loved spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandson. He was an avid fan of the Red Sox; considered himself to be the biggest fan of the New England Patriots; and truly loved to eat.In addition to his wife, Natalie, he leaves his loving children: Brandon R. Thompson of Los Angeles, CA; Shane M. Thompson of North Providence, RI; and Joseph B. Lazzerini of Providence, RI. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Mason Thompson and Laniyah Reyes, both of North Providence, RI. Kevin was the dear brother of Sheila Emerson Hancock of MI; Karen J. Leger of Centerville, MA; Patricia Whitis of North Attleboro; Janet Groth of North Attleboro; Rob Emerson of Attleboro; Doug Emerson of CA; and Ray "Buddy" Emerson Jr. of Cumberland, RI. He was predeceased by his late sisters: Nancy Audette and Susan E. Dion. He leaves his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous foster children, his mother and father-in-law, and many dear friends. Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Kevin by gathering for a Visitation on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by prayers and a Time of Reflection at 4:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.Following services, relatives and friends are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshment at the North Attleboro VFW, 50 Jefferson Street, North Attleboro, MA.Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kevin to Friends Helping Friends of North Attleboro, P.O.
