Kenneth Henry Steele

Kenneth Henry Steele, 90, of Cumberland, RI, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Hebert Health & Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield, RI. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen C. (Baptista) Steele who died on March 10, 2012. Born on January 19, 1928 in South Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Henry Alonzo Steele and the late Lucy (Brown) Steele.Kenneth worked for twenty-six years as the Assistant Auto Body Manager for Rodman Ford in Foxborough, MA. He previously lived in Rehoboth, MA and in Florida, and had attended St. Theresa's Church in South Attleboro for many years.A man of faith and integrity, he served as an Attleboro Special Police Officer for twelve years, and as a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Kenneth enjoyed the outdoors and loved to travel, especially to Florida, including Orlando and Kissimmee, where he enjoyed going to Disney and attending shows there whenever possible. More than anything, he loved spending time with his cherished family.He was the loving father of Gail M. (Steele) Fiske and her companion, Donald A. Danho, of Cumberland, RI; and Donna L. (Steele) Drape and her husband, Richard J. Drape, of Summerfield, FL. He was the adoring grandfather of seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Kenneth was predeceased by his siblings: James Steele, George Steele, Violet Mahon, Lucy Blais, Stanley Steele, and Clifford Steele. He leaves several nieces and nephews.
