Kenneth Leo Pouliot, 66, of Bradenton, Florida and Quincy; an Attleboro native; died unexpectedly on May 13, 2015 at Blake Hospital in Bradenton, Florida. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on January 28, 1949, he was a son of the late Oscar Leo Pouliot and Shirley M. (Hocking) Straight. He was raised and educated in Attleboro where he was a 1968 graduate of Attleboro High School. He split his residency between Massachusetts and Florida for the last several years. Mr. Pouliot was employed as a maintenance supervisor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years prior to his retirement at the age of 55. He was, among countless hobbies and endeavors: an avid reader, member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, sailor, artist, family man, loving grandfather, member of the Sons of Italy in Florida, loved long drives to Maine and Vermont, telling jokes, 1960's music, classic cars, the ocean, member of the Cortez Yacht Club in Florida, NRA member, telling stories, spending time with friends, kayaking, movies, traveling - particularly, to Italy and making cards for family members and friends. His family lovingly recalls his ability to do anything. He leaves his daughter: Susan L. (Pouliot) Hover and her husband, Kenneth R. Hover, of Palm Harbor, Florida; a son: Kevin M. Pouliot, Sr. and his wife, Lisa M. (Iacobucci) Pouliot of Carver; his fiancé and best friend: Frances "Frannie" J. Haas of Quincy and Bradenton; four grandchildren: Derrick K. Pouliot and his wife, Jess L. (LaRoche) Pouliot, Kevin M. Pouliot, Jr., Kyle J. Pouliot and Brittani P. Pouliot; his fiancé's children: John E. Haas and his wife, Eileen (Thomas) Haas, and their daughter: Margaret Haas and Stephen C. Haas and his wife, Antoinelle (Donato) Haas and their children: Deanna Haas and Derek Haas; his four brothers: Robert Pouliot and his wife, Nancy Pouliot, of North Attleboro; Gary A. Pouliot and his wife, Pamela B. (Stevens) Pouliot of Attleboro; Timothy B. Pouliot and his fiancé, Kelly Dzengeleski, of Norton and Douglas M. Pouliot and his wife, Christine M. (Bosh) Pouliot, of Attleboro and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
