Kenneth Joseph Meyer Sr., 67, of Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully on October 18, 2021, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA from complications associated with acquiring Covid-19. He was the longtime dear friend of Tracy Lyons.
Born in Attleboro, MA on May 21, 1954, he was a son of the late Paul Kenneth Meyer, Sr. and the late Isabelle (Silva) Meyer. He was a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro.
Mr. Meyer was employed as a degreaser for Stearn Leach and LeachGarner for the past 25 years.
He proudly and honorably served as a member of the Massachusetts National Guard.
He attended the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and later, St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Attleboro.
His favorite pastimes included freshwater fishing with his beloved grandson, James, whom he raised as his son; watching NFL games having been a fan of both the New England Patriots and the San Francisco 49ers and enjoying a movie with James.
In addition to James Derrick Edwards with whom he resided and his longtime dear friend, Tracy; he leaves his children: Kenneth J. Meyer, Jr. of Brockton, MA; April Meyer in Virginia and Anna Bennett of Brockton, MA; his siblings: Pauline Bussiere and her husband, Gerald Bussiere, of Orange City, Florida and Linda Meyer of Attleboro, MA. His brother, the late Paul K. Meyer, husband of Susan J. (Higginbotham) Meyer of Attleboro, MA, passed away on October 15, 2021. He leaves several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
Burial will be private.
