Kenneth Lowell Gunner

April 12, 1916 — January 12, 2020

Kenneth Lowell Gunner, of Topsfield, MA, died peacefully at the age of 103 on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at the Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers, MA.  He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara E. (Bolster) Gunner who died in 1996.
Born on April 12, 1916, in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Ralph R. Gunner and the late Helen (Taylor) Gunner.
Raised and educated in Attleboro, Kenneth was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1934. He then worked for many years in the jewelry industry alongside his father at the Ralph R. Gunner Manufacturing Company in Attleboro before retiring.
An avid reader, he also enjoyed square dance calling and sweets of most every kind. Kenneth had a love of wildlife, especially bird watching. He appreciated the old songs from the Big Band era and would occasionally join in with the robust singing voice that he had. He was very clever at building, fixing, or refining things to better suit his purposes. And he was an expert at recycling old items into new. His mind was always alert, thinking of future projects.
He was the loving father of David L. Gunner, who predeceased his father, and his wife Anne Gunner, Lisa Azeni and her husband, Hocine Azeni, and ex-daughter-in-law, Judith Gunner. In addition, he was the proud grandfather of Kimberly Gunner, Nathan Gunner, Lacy Gunner, Simon Gunner, Ashor Azeni, and Brahim Azeni; and the adoring great-grandfather of Virginia Simpson-Gunner and Wyatt Simpson-Gunner.
All services will be privately held.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Kenneth to a local animal shelter of one's choice would be genuinely appreciated.
