March 28, 1991 — March 19, 2021

Kayla Courtney (Cash) Ashburn, 29, of North Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at her residence on Friday, March 19, 2021 following an illness diagnosed in May 2019.  She was the beloved and cherished wife of John Fenwick Ashburn III, whom she married on June 18, 2014.
Born in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia on March 28, 1991, she was the daughter of Dewey Paul Cash II and Patricia Ann (Price) Cash of Wrentham, MA.
Raised around the world and completing her education in Colorado, she was a graduate of Colorado State University - Class of 2012.
Kayla was employed as an online English tutor and enjoyed her prior work at the Centennial Village Museum conducting historical reenactments.
Prior to moving to North Attleboro, MA in August 2019, she resided in Kentucky and Colorado.
Kayla loved Cosplay, attending Comic Con, and was a voracious reader.  She also enjoyed drawing, sewing, and arts and crafts. A lifelong animal lover, she treasured traveling and had taught herself the Japanese language.
In addition to her husband and parents, she leaves her brother: Chandler Cash and his fiancée, Anneka Larson of Federal Heights, Colorado; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: John Fenwick Ashburn Jr. and Jeanne Marie (Rigwood) Ashburn of Brighton, Colorado; and several extended relatives and many friends.
She was the loving mother of John Fenwick Ashburn IV who passed away in May 2019.
There will be no formal funeral services scheduled, as an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Kayla's name may be made to the Jimmy Fund of Dana Farber Cancer Institute by accessing: https://www.jimmyfund.org/ways-to-give/
