Katie Ann King, 25, of North Attleboro, died on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Boston Medical Center following a long battle with cancer. Born in Waukegan, Illinois on April 21, 1988, she was a daughter of Patrick E. King of Texas and Tammy L. (Witte) England of North Attleboro. She was the stepdaughter of Scott A. England of North Attleboro and Laura King of Texas. She resided in Attleboro until moving to North Attleboro in 1997. She was a graduate of North Attleboro High School - Class of 2006. She attended Community College of Rhode Island and was eager to return to school to obtain her nursing degree. Miss King attended the First Congregational "Old Town" Church in North Attleboro. She was a member of the Attleboro Community Theatre and served as a volunteer at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro for four years. Her favorite pastimes included playing tennis, listening to music, hiking and snowboarding. While a student, Miss King was a cheerleader and a soccer player. In addition to her parents and stepparents, she leaves her fiancé: Tijaye Henderson of North Attleboro; her four month old son: Skyler M. E. Henderson of North Attleboro; a sister: Bridget B. King and her husband, Jeffrey Saba, of Dracut; a stepsister: Lacey Robinson of Michigan; a nephew: Payton Robinson of Michigan; her maternal grandmother: Betty A. Nelson of Iowa; her Step grandmother: Constance "Connie" England of Attleboro and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She was the maternal granddaughter of the late Garry Witte and was the step granddaughter of the late John E. Nelson and Allan R England. She was the paternal granddaughter of the late Kenneth & Mary Jean King. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service Celebrating Her Life on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the First Congregational "Old Town" Church, Old Post Road, North Attleboro with the Rev. Kelly Thibeault, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private. Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Skyler M. E. Henderson Memorial Fund, c/o Rockland Trust, 490 Pleasant Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
