Kathleen Marie Verge

Kathleen Marie (Tanner) Verge, 65, of Oakhurst Street, North Attleboro, died on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton following a period of declining health. She was the beloved and cherished wife of Francis Victor Verge, Jr. to whom she was married on November 26, 1966 and with whom she was honored to have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary last year. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on January 3, 1948, she was a daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Curry) Tanner. She was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro and a 1966 graduate of North Attleboro High School. Mrs. Verge was employed by the North Attleboro School Department and retired following fifteen years of service at the Amvet School retiring as the Manager of the Food Service Department in 2003. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, North Attleboro. Mrs. Verge treasured the times spent dining out with family and friends and playing penny bingo with her mother-in-law at the North Attleboro Senior Center. In addition to her loving husband of 46 years, she was the loving mother of Lisa A. DuPlessis and her husband, Kerry W. DuPlessis, of North Attleboro; Elizabeth "Becky" I. Sirois and her husband, Joseph Sirois, of North Attleboro and Tonya M. Dorren and her husband, Timothy Dorren, of Roanoke, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; her siblings: James Tanner of Attleboro; Edward Tanner of Seekonk; Jack Tanner in Florida; Mary Preston in Florida; her mother-in-law: Dorothy Verge of North Attleboro; her sister-in-law: Elaine Verge Briggs and her husband, Harry Briggs and several extended family members and friends. She was the sister of the late Frances Corrigan and Bettyann Goyette. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Funeral services and burial will be private.
