Kathleen Brigid (McCausland) Gunn, 66 of North Attleboro died on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was the wife of James M. Gunn whom she married on February 22, 1969 in New York. Born in New York, New York on June 1, 1947, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Cullinane) McCausland. Mrs. Gunn moved to the area from Newtown CT in 1995 and was a communicant of St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Mrs. Gunn was active in many community events and activities which included the "Susan G. Komen Walk" under Team Gunnrunners. She was employed as a Administrative Assistant at the former Medical Device Consulants in North Attleboro, prior to her retirement in 2005. In addition to her husband, she leaves four children: James Gunn and his wife Laura, of North Attleboro; Catherine Thiele and her husband Walter "Kip" Thiele, of North Yarmouth, Maine; Siobhan Petho and her husband, Kevin Petho , Clarence Center, New York; and Erin Brennan and her husband (Michael) Brennan, of Yonkers, New York; eight grandchildren: Emma Gunn, Gwyneth Gunn and Sean Gunn, all of North Attleboro; Gretchen Thiele, of North Yarmouth, Maine; Lily Petho, Fiona Petho and Francis Petho, of Clarence Center, New York; Matthew Brennan, of Yonkers, New York; and another on the way in April of 2014. She also leaves behind two brothers: Michael McCausland, of Yonkers, New York; James McCausland, of Staten Island, New York; and a sister: Mary Dionne of Newport, New Hampshire. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the nationally historic "Colonel Obed Robinson Home", 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at St. Mark's Roman Catholic, Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas Frechette, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro.
