Kathleen J. Aurand

Kathleen J. (Gibney) Aurand, 46, of Sylvan Road, North Attleboro, died unexpectedly on January 26, 2013 at the Boston Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Roman David Aurand to whom she was married on April 13, 1946 and died on December 1, 2006. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on October 21, 1966, she was a daughter of the late George "Pinky" and Dorothy E. (Westgate) Gibney. She resided in the same home in North Attleboro her entire life. She was a 1984 graduate of North Attleboro High School. Mrs. Aurand was a graduate of Katharine Gibbs School where she received her degree as a paralegal. Mrs. Aurand was formerly employed as a project manager for ADP Marshall, a contracting company and more recently was employed as an event supervisor for Gems Gymnastic Studio in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Her favorite pastimes included entertaining family and friends and time spent at cookouts during the summer months. She leaves two children: Justin R. Walton of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Amanda S. Aurand at home in North Attleboro; a stepson: Roman D. Aurand III of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; three grandchildren; a brother: Joseph Salem in Florida and several nieces, nephews, members of her late husband's family and many dear friends. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Funeral service will immediately follow visitation on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Kelly Thibeault, Pastor, of the First Congregational Church, Old Post Road, North Attleboro, officiating. Following the cemetery an invitation will be extended for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
