Karl Frederick Wallin, 48, of Quincy, MA, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Maria DiChiara Wallin.Born on March 20, 1969 in Norwood, MA, he was the beloved son of Glenn Frederick Wallin of Attleboro, MA, and the late Dorothy Elaine (Fish) Wallin.A graduate of King Philip Regional High School, Class of 1987, Karl proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army, and worked in the building maintenance department of the United States Postal Service in Boston, MA. A resident of Quincy most of his life, he was a member of the National Guard and the Quincy Post of the American Legion. Karl loved the peace and solitude of fishing, and particularly enjoyed traveling, especially visits to Hawaii. He also had a love for his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. In addition to his father, he is survived by his dear sister, Susan M. Jones; her husband, Todd C. Jones; and their daughter, Samantha E. Jones, of Attleboro, MA. He also leaves several cousins.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to honor and remember Karl at a Visitation with Veteran's Honors on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.A private Graveside Service with Military Honors will follow on Monday, January 22, 2018 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Karl to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
