Karin (Martin-Caouette) Shumaker

Karin Elizabeth (Martin) Shumaker, 81, of Rehoboth, MA passed away on June 7, 2024, at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall RIver, MA.  She was the wife of the late Don G. Shumaker.
Born in Taunton, MA on October 4, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. Martin and the late Edna (Cromwell) Martin.
Raised and educated locally, Mrs. Shumaker was a graduate of East Providence High School and Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School.
She was employed as a purchasing agent at Kayakli Advances Materials in Westborough and Paratronics in Attleboro,MA.
Karin attended Rehoboth Village Church and was a strongly spiritual woman.  She was an ardent supporter of events sponsored by the Rehoboth Fire Department, loved baking, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchild and family, and decorating.
She was the mother of the late Lawrence Eugene Caouette, III.
She was the grandmother of  Abigail Caouette, Lawrence E. Caouette IV and Thomas Caouette all of Rutherfordton, North Carolina Lawrence E. Caouette IV, Thomas Caouette;  great grandmother of Atticus Caouette of  Rutherfordton, NC and sister of Priscilla Petruzzi of Taunton, MA
At her request services will be private and burial will follow in Rehoboth Village Cemetery, Rehoboth, MA.
