Karen Ann Burman

Karen Ann (Christie) Burman, 60, of Attleboro, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 21, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard J. Burman, who died in October 2015. Born on December 16, 1955 in Canton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Costa Christie and Alice Jane (Kiley). A resident of Attleboro for the past several years, Karen previously resided in Norton, MA. She was a graduate of Canton High School and received her Bachelor's Degree from Stonehill College and her Master's degree from Lesley College. She also attended cake decorating school.She was an artistic woman who enjoyed painting, nature, and arts and crafts. Karen delighted in time spent with her family and with her "cat", Molly Coon.She is survived by her cherished daughter, Noelle C. Andrade of Mansfield, MA and her treasured grandchildren: Nicholas A. and Logan R. She was the dear sister of David Christie and his wife, Lisa Christie, of Rhode Island, and the step-sister of Nancy Johansen; and leaves her beloved nieces and nephews: Christine, Michael, Nicole, Cori, Taylor, and Alex. Karen also leaves Tony Caponigro of Attleboro, MA, the companion of her late sister, Susan Lynn Dockray.Visitation has respectfully been omitted.
