Justin Elias
April 11, 1984 - January 27, 2026
Justin Elias, 41, of Bethel Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. From the very beginning, Justin lived life in his own extraordinary way. Born with special needs, he was never able to walk or talk, yet he communicated clearly with those who knew and loved him-most especially his parents, whom he cherished more than anything in the world. He had a brilliant smile that warmed the heart.
Justin found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. He had an endless love for Barney sing-alongs, watching home movies, music, swimming and listening to his mother sing. He delighted in Italian food and never turned down his favorite treats-Hostess snacks, Ring Dings, and Ho-Hos. Simple pleasures.
More than anything, Justin loved laughter-especially the laughter he shared with his older sister, Lindsay, and his younger sister, Katie. Their bond was deep and unbreakable, and they will miss him beyond words.
Justin is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Patrice Elias of Newtown, Connecticut; his sister, Lindsay Bell, and her husband, Derek, of Newtown, Connecticut; and his sister, Katie Skrokov, and her husband, Joe, of Ridgefield, Connecticut. He was also the beloved "Unkie" to Emmy and Avery Bell, and Lily and Luke Skrokov. His newest niece, Sophie Skrokov, entered the world 5 days before Justin's passing-a precious gift of new life and love. The circle of life. He also leaves behind loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Justin was predeceased by his grandparents, George and Mary Zamary, and Hy and Jean Elias.
Justin's memory will live on through his family, who will forever carry the lessons he taught them-about patience, unconditional love, and what truly matters. He made everyone around him a better person. He was loved more than anything by his family, and his smile will linger in their hearts forever.
